Page Moreau Appointed Special Guest Editor
The Policy Board of the Journal of Consumer Research is pleased to announce that Professor Page Moreau has agreed to serve as Special Guest Editor under the journal’s conflict of interest policy which outlines special review procedures for submissions by the journal’s editors and members of the Policy Board.
Manuscripts authored or co-authored by JCR editors or Policy Board members may be submitted for review or publication during their terms at JCR. However, the Special Guest Editor oversees these submissions and has sole responsibility for the entire review process, including the final decision on the manuscript. If the Special Guest Editor has a conflict of interest, a different guest editor will be appointed to handle the submission.
Professor Moreau is the Associate Dean for Research and John R. Nevin Chair in Marketing at the Wisconsin School of Business. She received her Ph.D. in marketing from Columbia University. Her research focuses on creativity, consumer learning, and innovation. She is also a Marketing Science Institute Academic Fellow; a former editor of the Journal of Marketing; a former JCR associate editor; and long-term member of the JCR Editorial Review Board.
Professor Moreau will assume her responsibilities on July 1, 2025 for a four-year term. In recognition of the fact that this is a volunteer position, she is free to “opt out” at any point if necessary. Her willingness to assume the special guest editor responsibilities will greatly assist JCR in maintaining a fair and balanced editor publication policy.
We thank Richard J. Lutz immensely for his outstanding service as Special Guest Editor since July 1, 2019.
