Giana Eckhardt
The Journal of Consumer Research editorial team and Policy Board are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Giana M. Eckhardt, a cherished member of the consumer research community and a longtime contributor to JCR as Co-Editor, Associate Editor, and author. Giana’s scholarship profoundly shaped contemporary understandings of consumer culture, branding, globalization, and consumer ethics, while her editorial leadership helped guide and mentor generations of researchers. Beyond her many intellectual contributions, she will be remembered for her generosity, collegiality, warmth, and unwavering commitment to the field. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and students, and all those whose lives and work she touched.
